Insurtech Ecosystem

Insurance platform · Web, mobile and CRM

A four-application ecosystem for an insurance carrier, built on a shared architecture of REST and GraphQL APIs, polyglot databases and Docker deployments: a multi-carrier web quoting flow with online purchase, a customer service CRM with ticketing and a per-area chatbot, a management dashboard for account executives with prospect and policy tracking, and a NativeScript mobile app for field inspections and claim reports. I later adapted the whole ecosystem to a second market.

The story

01.1

Problem

The carrier needed to quote, sell and service policies in a single flow, but every piece — the quoting site, customer support, the executives’ daily work and field inspections — lived in separate tools with no shared data.

01.2

Solution

I built an ecosystem of applications on a shared architecture: REST and GraphQL APIs with a bridge layer, polyglot databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL and Redis) and Docker-based deployments. On top of it I delivered the multi-carrier web quoting flow, a support CRM with ticketing and a per-area chatbot, a management dashboard for executives, and a NativeScript mobile app for inspections and claims.

01.3

Result

Quoting, sales, support and operations ended up on the same services and the same data, and the ecosystem was replicated for a second market by adapting the quoting flow to its carriers and regulation.

What I built

  1. 02.1Full Stack Developer

    Multi-carrier web quoting flow

Built the quoting flow for vehicle, motorcycle, supplementary health, home and liability insurance, with plan comparison across several carriers, deductible selection and online purchase.

  2. 02.2Full Stack Developer

    Customer service CRM

Built the support hub: queue-based ticketing, quick replies, kanban, contacts, campaigns and a chatbot configurable per area, plus integrations and API documentation for third parties.

  3. 02.3Full Stack Developer

    Management dashboard for executives

Implemented the executive dashboard with running projects, active and paused tasks, checklist findings, and a prospect tracking history tied to their quotes and policies.

  4. 02.4Mobile Developer

    Inspections and claims app

Built the iOS and Android app in NativeScript that inspectors use to fill checklists in the field and policyholders use to report claims, synced with the same backend as the rest of the ecosystem.

  5. 02.5Full Stack Developer

    Adaptation to a second market

Adapted the ecosystem to a different market: a new quoting flow driven by ZIP code and driver attributes, a local carrier catalog and the whole interface in English.

The code for this project belongs to the client and cannot be published. What I can show is on this page: the problem, the solution I built, my specific role and screenshots of the product. If what you want is to read my code, that's exactly why I built Ghostline: a complete, playable game with both the C# client repo and the TypeScript API repo open —the same technical judgment I applied here, this time auditable commit by commit.
